Gurudwara DukhBhanjaniBeri, (literally, the tree of healing) is located on the eastern flank of the sarovar (sacred pond) in the Golden Temple. The Beri Tree is of ZiziphusJuajaba species.

The tree is associated with the legend of Bibi Rajani whose leper husband is said to have been cured of his malady by having a dip in the old pond which existed since ancient times. Guru Ram Das himself is said to have given the tree the name of DukhBhanjani.

People have a strong faith that water inn this portion of the tank will cure their ailments.

Setting up of the Museum has been undertaken with Financial Assistance from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India
