Beri Tree Ludhiana

The Beri Tree is sacred to the memory of Guru Gobind Singh who rested here, with his horse tethered to the Beri Tree, while tarvelling through the Malwa region after the battle of Chamkaur.

It is here that Rai Kalha, the Chief of Raikot, met Guru Gobind Singh, who was dressed as a Muslim divine, and escorted him to Raikot.

The original Manji Sahib at Siloani was a small doomed room, now replaced by a large hall. To preserve the tree, the gurudwara management erected three iron girders for support.

Setting up of the Museum has been undertaken with Financial Assistance from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India
