During a visit of Munak Kalan, Guru Hargobind rested under this Talhi Tree. This Talhi Tree and an old well in the gurudwara complex exist since the times of Guru Hargobind.
In 2006, the tree was in a terminal stage, denuded of leaves and its root system ravaged by the salt offerings of devotees. On close examination, we discovered some life in a part of the root system.
With the help of experts and cooperation of the gurudwara management, the tree has been restored to health.
Setting up of the Museum has been undertaken with Financial Assistance from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India
